Frisco Bay Marina to Host 14th Annual New Belgium Timberline Cruiser Regatta

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the Frisco Bay Marina and the Dillon Yacht Club will host the 14^th annual New Belgium Timberline Cruiser Regatta. This fun race is open to anyone with a sailboat who wants to compete for bragging rights and glory, and the event will benefit the Dillon Junior Sailors. Costumes and creativity will be rewarded. All Cruiser Regatta participants will receive a t-shirt, racers’ buffet dinner, and New Belgium beer at the after party. 

“This event is about sailing AND how much fun you can have on the water,” says Logan Snyder, Frisco Bay Marina General Manager. “We want to see your best costumes and your biggest smiles as you navigate past islands with singing mermaids and floaty sharks.”

Registration

Registration is available online at FriscoMarina.com and is also available the morning of the event, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Frisco Bay Marina.

Cost of registration is $150 per boat with up to 3 crew members. $30 for each additional crew member. 

Schedule on Saturday, August 19, 2023

• 9:00 am-11:00 am – Registration at the Frisco Bay Marina
• 11:00 am to 11:30 am– Captains’ meeting: The course map will be provided, and anyone not on a crew is invited to come to the captains’ meeting to be “adopted” onto any registered crews if space is available
• 12:00 pm – Event start at the Frisco Bay Marina
• 4:00 pm-6:00 pm – Rum line (post-race meal) and New Belgium beverages will be provided at the Island Grill for participants ages 21 and over
• 5:00 pm-7:00 pm – Live music, awards, and auction

Awards and Auction

• Awards will be presented for the top finishers and the best-costumed crew/boat.
• A New Belgium cruiser bike and Frisco Bay Marina boat rentals, along with many other great items, will be available for live auction to benefit the Dillon Yacht Club’s Junior Sailing Program.
