Group with trash and trash bags in Frisco on Town Clean Up Day

Frisco’s Clean Up Day on May 20

The Town of Frisco is gearing up to participate in the County Wide Town Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. This event is a chance for community members to get together to clean up neighborhoods, parks, open spaces, business areas, and trails around Frisco in anticipation of summer. After cleaning up the town, all community members, especially area kiddos, will have the opportunity to check out the Town of Frisco’s heavy equipment, including dump trucks and front-end loaders, and vehicles from the Frisco Police Department and Summit Fire & EMS at Frisco’s own Tons of Trucks event.  Additionally, there will be a Town of Frisco Construction Projects Open House, highlighting many of the upcoming improvements the Town of Frisco will be making in the community in 2023 and beyond.

Volunteer check in is at 9:00 am in front of the Frisco Historic Park on Frisco Main Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. During the volunteer check in, there will be coffee provided by Starbucks and baked treats. At that time, volunteers will also receive gloves, safety vests if needed, orange trash bags, and tickets for door prize drawings, lunch, and two free non-alcoholic drinks or beers for those over 21. Volunteers may ask to be assigned to a cleanup area, or they may select an area in Frisco that they feel would benefit from their efforts.

Post cleanup, participants are invited back to the Frisco Historic Park for an appreciation lunch from 11:30am to 1:00pm as a “thank you” to volunteers. Think you picked up the “most unique” item in Frisco on Clean Up Day in 2023? Hang on to it and submit it as an entry at the Historic Park Gazebo to see if you win a special prize! Prizes will be awarded for the top five “most unique” items.

From 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, community members are also invited to explore the Tons of Trucks event on Main Street in front of the Historic Park, and the Town of Frisco Construction Projects Open House at the 1st and Main Building to view many of the Town of Frisco projects scheduled for 2023.

Support from Local Businesses:

The Town invites businesses to support the Town of Frisco Clean Up Day volunteers and highlight their business to the locals who support and recommend them. All types of donations are appreciated, including:

  • Gift certificates for “most unique” finds and door prizes
  • Item donations for “most unique” finds and door prizes
  • Food for the volunteer appreciation lunch

Businesses who donate will have their name displayed on a large thank you poster at the event, along with verbal acknowledgment on the stage during the picnic. Businesses are also invited to bring their staff to participate in the clean-up efforts.

Businesses may drop off their donation at Frisco Town Hall (1 W. Main Street) or contact Zane Myers at 970-668-2564 or ZaneM@TownofFrisco.com to arrange pickup. The Town prefers that any donations are received by 5:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2023.
